Crystalise was a 3D printer concept produced as a 5 person group. It was exploring the use of skeletal printed structure in a crystal bath, growing flesh on the bones. This project taught us a lot about metal turning, CNC routing and introduced us to Arduino. The most interesting part of this project was the comprehension of a spiral axis 3D printer

Some progress pictures that include testing custom turned components for their water tight capabilities, a close up of custom aluminium water deflection for the stepper and laser cut acrylic used as a frame for bearings.
